Doing the same thing whilst hoping for different resultsReader comment on item: Gaza cease-fire Submitted by David W. Lincoln (Canada), Nov 29, 2006 at 12:06 It's myopia bordering on blindness on behalf of the Israeli government to conclude that a political solution is all that is necessary to reduce, if not eliminate, tensions in the Middle East. Perhaps I am missing something, for instance that the Israeli government does not recognize distinctions when it comes to outside influences on people. It isn't only government, but also schools, media, the edifice where the faithful gather to worship - all these areas (and others) contribute to who each of us are, and frankly to put all the eggs into the basket labelled as government, well the result usually turns out to be how the children's nursery rhyme "Humpty Dumpty" ends up.
