Win WinReader comment on item: Harvard Loves Jihad Submitted by Mark D Ransom (United States), Jun 11, 2002 at 11:38 Harvard may or may not be the birth place of the Win/Win situation, but it certainly seems to pander to that scenario. Is it very enlightened to advance the cause for peace by embracing the organization of your enemy? Make no mistake: the enemy of peace is violence and war. What has Harvard got to lose? They won't feel a threat until radical extremists are at their gates with torches. Only when their libraries and computers are directly threatened will they see their error. Until then they gladly enjoy freedom of speech, press and religion. Where is the line between hubris and broadmindeness? Are American Democratists invited to speak at large in the fundamentalist universities of the mid-east? I was educated, as most can plainly guess, solely by the public education system of New York City. The lessons learned on September 11th seem lost on those so far away in supreme intelligentsia.Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
