As a surgeon and an academic, I am saddened by the college product of today. We interview the "best and brightest" sporting GPA's of 3.6-4.0 from supposed prestigous universities. All too many cannot write or demonstrate analytical skills or engage in articulate conversation. Our colleges are a reflection of the liberal idiots that control 90% of academia today. Grade inflation is understatement! The "diversity" ( the word sickens me) of inane courses I see in transcripts of these good students speaks volumes; I worry about what courses the legions of the future unemployable are taking comparably. But hey, if all else fails you can try to become college professor: good pay and benefits, minimal work, misguided respect and tenure. ( Real teachers ['professors'] will not be offended by my remarks).
