The Final Push - The Prompting of 'Peace to Posterity'

Reader comment on item: Reservations about the Trump Peace Plan

Submitted by M Tovey (United States), Jan 30, 2020 at 12:12

Our dear Dr. Pipes presents this most current assessment of relations between the State of Israel and the indigent 'Palestinian' populations with an ascetic view to a peace process fraught with more problems than there are possibilities of any success, fully understanding the deeply held antipathies have no reasonable approach to any chance for success. He potently asks: 'Does a single person out there actually believe any of this chimera will be implemented?'

It is a poke with a pin at the trial balloon of hope, a hope born mostly by the advocates of that unseen society that witnessed the rebirth in a day of a nation that has been deprived of peace for centuries by the denizens of a hateful cosmos determined with every fiber of the impenitent mindset that a people called the 'apple of God's eye' should not be allowed to occupy that land they were promised millennia ago, no matter the cost to humanity imminently or mankind in general.

The Doctor's reservations about the plan are well pointed out and should be observed with the concerns that are imprinted between the lines. In fact, it almost appears to count on the intractability of Israel's enemies; and the reasons for this being so are manifest in the immediate rejection(s) of those same enemies that have slathered all over themselves with the idea that somehow they will be ready in a moment's notice to overrun Israel the moment they might have the chance to do so.

The reasons for the third intifada are already in place; only the exact fuse to replace the olive branch in the article's WT illustration is yet to be discovered and the time for that is, as was mentioned earlier, imminent. The Iranian Islamic Republic is now looking for their moment of retribution as their plans for releasing the dreams of al-Mahdi had suffered dramatically and a moment of fortune is desperately being sought. In the background, partners of similar malfeasance simmer with the same anticipation.

In view of these 'times of great malcontent,' what is being overlooked is that of ancient tomes of the Jewish narrative; the refrains of 'in that day' are now being sounded like mini-shofars as the words of the ancients are reading like today's headlines. One might ask: how can that be? Indeed, with the actions of the enemies of Israel circling around her in the very means that the ancients spoke of, how does one ignore the implications of these times without bringing judgment for that ignorance?

Look around: 'The Peace to Posterity' plan is the fuse: who is hovering around it to light it up for destruction?
