I remember a visit to Israel around 1983 (just after israeli troops were returning from Lebanon) when a cousin who was a "party traveler" asked an Israeli Palestinian, "don't you feel exploited by the Israeli government?" the Palestinian answered , "Are you a communist? I hold a very good job with the Israelis, with fringe benefits such as medical insurance. Why do the americans think we are mistreated?"
