Understanding Totalitatian Thought
Reader comment on item: The Dobbs List: "Militant Islam Reaches America"

Submitted by J. W. Beason (United States), Sep 2, 2002 at 13:12

It is obvious that most people hold some respect for religious thought no matter what the evidence to the contrary. If there is room in a movement either religious or secular, that calls for the wholesale destruction of the Western world, then that defines the movement.

This is true for the two most virulent current enemies of the Western world-Islam and environmentalism. Recall that during WWII the Muslims had an alliance with the Nazis.

Recall also that the Nazi regime had an environmentalist agenda. Blood and Soil to the Nazis meant a purified bloodline and a pristine environment. It is no secret that the Nazis under Theo Morrell looked for ways to purify the Nazi soil to preserve the Nazi bloodline. These activites included such things as banning animal based medical research, banning smoking, and banning DDT as well as mass murder of those who supported Western ideas. Read Racial Hygiene by Robert Procter for the details.

Today's environmentalists, the generic version, also desire the wholesale destruction of the West with their Soil and Blood ideology. Soil meaning a pristine environment and Blood meaning multicutural primitivism. The militant Muslims are just another particular version of the Blood and Soil/Soil and Blood mentality. Nothing has really changed since WWII.
