There is no explanation that makes sense other than FEAR.

"a blasé sense of confidence"

All I see is cowering subservience and surrender. God help

us if that is seen as 'confidence'. I know a lot of commenters

refer back to the glory days of the Munich Agreement but it

most certainly is being repeated in all dealings with Islam.
