Erdoğan alluded he wanted to bar Gem Özdemir from entering Turkey

Reader comment on item: How Turkey Went Bad

Submitted by myth (Germany), Oct 8, 2014 at 05:27

Another example of rogue behaviour on Erdoğan's part occurred in may 2014 in Germany. Speaking to a Turkish audience in Germany, Erdoğan called Cem Özdemir an "alleged Turk" he would rather not see in Turkey ever again. Özdemir is the chairman of the Green Party. The German Foreign office reacted and ordered the Turkish ambassador to report to the Foreign Office.
