the certainty of human interference with nuclear technology

Mchael, the bigger Table of Nuclides charts the unstable, that is radioactive, nuclides. The Periodic Table of Elements charts the small subset of stable nuclides. The connection is this: The unstable cascade down to other unstable, always lighter nuclides, until they finally find the eternal rest of a stable element. This is a one-way process since the beginning of the world. Imagine a reverse food-chain. This presents us with a zoo of nuclides that has a charasteristic composition in nature.

Any deviation from the natural composition in any nuclide, say a bit of U-235 too much, points to human interference. Whenever arms-inspectors find any such deviation there is absolute certainty someone human was operating nuclear technology.
