Bush tactic?

I think sober persons will admit that Abbas remains an murderous Jew-hater. Could Bush, Rumsfeld and Rice be playing a tactic as well? Could they not be maneuvering to corner the P.A. in a 'peace process' that would at least prolong a cease-fire and at best create conditions favorable to real change? We could look out for demands about internal P.A. propaganda, particularly that aimed at children, including making heros of suicide bombers.

In fact what other course does Bush have at this point? I agree that most people are eager to be bamboozled by Abbas, but Bush and his team are not necessarilly amoung them.
