Egypt Might Become Another Pakistan

Reader comment on item: What Planet Does John Kerry Live On?

Dont the wise American diplomats know, that the Muslim Brotherhood draws inspirations and strengths from ideals and goals of Hassan Al Bana and Sayed Qutb.

Wealthy but unwise Americans have willfully opened another front for war against themselves and world at large as well. Of course the exploding Army of Misty Eyed American Leftists have forced their self destructive actions too. What Communism could not do, they are now strategically out sourcing the task to bunch of suicidal Islamist nuts.

Democracy can not be imported and applied in the region, which has history of solving even small disputes within family with conflicts, violence and death of opponents. Peaceful negotiation, respect for disagreement, give and take have not been the hallmark of how they have functioned so far. Military might, power of arms, brutality has made most of decisions. Just having elections without existence of democratic ideals, ethos, mechanism and modern thinkers and leaders would not lead to democracy but the brutal majority with only ideals of religious obscurantism will prevail and evict or exterminate, the non believers.
