A Failed Strategy

Reader comment on item: What Planet Does John Kerry Live On?

Submitted by John R Peacher (United States), Feb 3, 2013 at 21:33

The United States government has been making these stupid statements for quite a few years. It started with former President George W. Bush saying that Islam was a religion of peace! What an outrage given the facts on the ground and the wars and actions we find ourselves in trying to defend friendly nations very survival against the onslaught of Islamist terrorism. The spokespersons for the United States government, and even some businesses are making statements of the way we wish things were; not making statements that state the truth. If these officials were in power in the 1930's and 1940's they would be praising the ability of the Fascists to make trains run on time and the Nazi ability to build equipment and factories to increase employment in Germany! Such foolishness. Such danger! There are people who actually believe the statements coming out of the White House and the Department of State!
