Quran calls Christians and Jews unbelievers and infidels and says they will burn in hell for ever ( 2.104,2.114,16.27-29,33.64-65). In addition it calls them diseased (2.10), deaf dumb and blind (2.171), evil (5.59), unclean (9.28), worst beasts (8.55), liars (16.39), worst creatures (58.20) . It tells muslims that they are your enemies (4.101) and not to make friends with them (3.28,4.144,5.51,5.57).

How can then Dr. Toor says Islam respects Jews and Christians? Yes, an individual Muslim can be kind, considerate and and friendly towards a non Muslim and a particular Muslim ruler can treat Christians and Jews fairly and not apply harsh dhimmi rules to them: but that is in spite of Islam, not because of Islam.
