Start by Keeping Them OutReader comment on item: [Freedom House report on] Saudi Venom in U.S. Mosques Submitted by Pat Kunz (United States), Feb 1, 2005 at 13:59 Our Statue of Liberty welcomes all huddled masses yearning to breathe free. This report indicates that Saudis do not fit into that category. Instead of just working in diplomatic circles or threatening military action, why can't the US turn its back on these countries? For starters, we could deny all Saudis and Egyptians (the two nations whose people carried out the 9/11 attacks) access to this country while these Imams continue to spill their invective. Then we move on to the countries whose people are financing the terrorists, which means many of the Persian Gulf countries, Syria and Iran. It won't be a perfect solution, but it will be a statement to the world. If there really are moderate Muslims out there (people willing to coexist with those of other faiths), they need to reclaim their faith from the extremists or, at the very least, disavow them publicly and loudly. Maybe then we can talk. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
