Ianus,

You have a common mistake made by many people. China is not communist, it stopped being one when it transformed it's economy to a capitalistic model.

Communism is a system of economics based on a collective and redistribution of wealth, not a form of government. China today is at best a right wing dictatorship, but it resembles more closely a fascist state.

Fascist are expansionist through military force, while communism expands by fermenting internal revolution. Their aggressive behaviour in land/sea area claim which has taken place recently is good indicator of that.
