Are occupation and racism really in the interests of the people of Israel?

Just as Israel's ill-conceived nuclear alliance in the 1970's with racist South Africa provided no real security for either Israel of the Jewish people, the persistence of illegal West Bank settlements, Palestinian housing demolitions in East Jerusalem, and the economic warfare on civilians in Gaza will not serve the long term interests of justice and peace for either side in this conflict.
