The system worked

The system actually did work, at least in the following sense. The REAL system is different than what the US government thinks it is. The real system is that many of us realize that we cannot depend on the government screeners and we have to look to our own safety once where are on the plane. Few of the passengers on 9/11/01 had any idea what could actually happen. Now we know. So the system is this---if somebody starts something that looks like terrorism when you're on the plane, jump on them and fight it out with them as best you can. Your life and that of many others may depend on it. That's what worked on the Detroit flight.
