Islam facing a critical period

Reader comment on item: Cartoons and Islamic Imperialism

Submitted by viju (India), Dec 6, 2009 at 11:58

Islam is facing a very critical period as faced by all other religions after 1000-1500 yrs of their birth. It is a quite common phenomenon what happened to Christianity in 14th/15th century. Once Islam was a enlightening and modern religion comparing to the others, but now turned into a non-moderate form due to its stiffness. The struggle between moderates and non-moderates is the first sign of improvement within the Islam. Hope Islam will cope up with this critical period as other religions has done in the past.
