I've been telling you for months that the Tenet-led CIA and President Bush were in a Mexican stand-off of sorts subverting each other at the cost of efficiency in foreign policy and miltary strategy. I imagine it is the very incident you have just described which pushed Cheney and bush to rock the book, risk the blackmail threats of Tenet, and finally get rid of Tenet. Of course Tenet did not back down without some nasty threats being delivered his way. If my analysis is correct, this paves the way for or more orderly procedure in our Administrations conduct of foreign policy and military strategy. John w. Mcgnley
