Yes it is true, I helped write it. Along with a review of his "speech" on campus, where he claimed that then AG Ascroft had ordered all cats removed from the DoJ because cats, particularly "calico" cats, were an offense to either Judiasm or Christanity - Ibish wasn't clear.

We also used to call him Jabba The Hut (from Star Wars fame).
