From Mr. Ibish's persistance at evoking the Jenin massacre (that never was), to his lack of recognition that the Six Day War was one of self defense which, having never had a partner to negotiate with for an equitable solution, Mr. Ibish seems to forget that between 1948 and '67 Egypt and Jordan administered those territories respectively...and at NO TIME DID THEY TRY TO SET UP AN INDEPENDANT PALESTINIAN STATE...THEY WERE SIMPLY PREPARING FOR THE NEXT WAR.
It seems that Mr. Ibish, like many in the Arab world, has trouble with pragmatic self evaluation; ... A case in point...on
Wed June 5, 2002, Mr. Ibish was on CNN's Crossfire to discuss a late breaking story of Israel entering Arafat's Mukata compound. During that exchange Mr. Ibish tried to accuse and deny many things...not the least of which were his statements regarding Cap David 2000/Taba 2001. He tried to perpetuate this myth about what the Clinton offer was, a myth obviously started by Arafat ...
At one point ARAFAT EVEN DENIED THE CORE OF THE JEWISH FAITH. HE TRIED TO CLAIM THAT THERE WAS NEVER A TEMPLE IN JERUSALEM, MUCH LESS TWO...HE EVEN TRIED TO CLAIM THAT THE ACTUAL TEMPLE WAS SOMEWHERE NEAR NABLUS...NEVER MIND THE W. WALL. ALL THIS according to US special Mideast envoy Dennis Ross, WHO WAS THERE!! Here's the Transcript from a Fox News Interview with Mr. Ross in which he tells of Arafat's wasting time, double talking, and spewing outright lies.. http://foxnews.com/story/0,2933,50830,00.html
Mr. Ibish needs to realize as does Arafat, . .that ONLY THE TRUTH..THE TRUTH, WILL LET YOUR PEOPLE GO!!!
