Dr. Pipes has correctly identified militant theology as one of the greatest problems confronting the United States. Jihadi militants enjoy using the United States Constitution, as well as our national sense of goodwill, to camouflage their ultimate goal of conquering us. The First Amendment, however, does not legitimize killing in the name of a Deity.
