I am a Muslim, born and raised in Canada and i believe in democracy and a secular free society; however i also believe in the teachings of Islam and what it has to offer. Islam is a religion of peace, and every religion has "bloody borders" especially at its birth. I am shocked at some people's ignorance towards the religion. Muslims do not attack Christianity for acts done by a few, so why does the topic of Islam come up every time a few radicals who mis-interpret the teachings act out?
I fully respect all religions, and even went to a catholic high school. I did not judge or give my opinions of other people's beliefs. Islam is also the worlds fastest growing religion....those of you who are so scared of Islam and Muslims should give a thought as to why people are attracted to it and what makes it so appealing, rather then its negative side which is always portrayed in the media. Its growth and its influence in the world is proof enough that there is something good there that people want. so before you want to go bashing all Muslims or start generalizing all of us to be extreme terrorist, look into the true meaning and teaching behind this beautiful religion.
