Thanks for your response. The term "Muslim" is meaningless. From a lingustic perspective, is a misspelling of the Arabic "Mu'slam" which is a direct reference to "I'slam" which is a mythology advanced by an Arab called "Muhammed". Those who embrace his mythology can rightly be called "Muhammedian" because Muslams believe various interpretations of the belief system, but all Muslams accept this 'Muhammed' as the messenger of their deity.
As for the assertion that "I'slam" advocates 'peace', this is opinion not based in fact. The dogma of the mythology uses violence, intimidation, and terrorism to advance itself. There is no evidence in theory or practice that I'slam, Muhammed or Muslams primary purpose is conflict avoidance or resolution ie "Peace". Quite the contrary, conflict and violence is ,has been and will remain the primary tools for the acvancement of this mythology. Be honest and realistic regarding the belief system you embrace.
