Regardless what is written in a holy book, it is how the majority of followers interpret these word and how they act. Yes, we all judge a people by their words and actions. There are those who advocate violence and then there is the silent majority who are complicit.

Very few are a Light unto the Nations (Abdul Rahman al-Lahim, Azar Majedi, Ayaan Hirsi Ali, Dr. Zuhdi Jasser, Ibn Warraq, Irfan Al-Alawi, Magdi Allam, Michael Nazir-Ali, Mohsen Marzouk, Muhammad Al-Houni, Naser Khader, Nonie Darwish, Sallah Udin Shoaib Choudhury, Salim Mansur, Salman Rushdie, Tahir Aslam Gora, Wafa Sultan)

"Slay the pagans wherever you may come upon them, and take them captive, and besiege them, and lie in wait for them at every conceivable place..." (Al-Qur'an 9:5).

'I have been made victorious with terror' –

….So says Muhammad according to Bukhari (Vol. 4, Book 52, Number 220).

"On the day of the battle of Uhud, a man came to the Prophet and said, 'Can you tell me where I will be if I should get martyred?' The Prophet replied, 'In Paradise.' The man threw away some dates he was carrying in his hand, and fought till he was martyred"
