Some conspiracies beliefs while crazy are sometime difficult to breakdown in the believers mind due to the lunacy of the actions that this government and others do. Reasonable people would like to know why false science is promoted over the truth. Why appeasement instead of action, why evolution instead of creation, why illegal immigration instead of enforcing the law, why? The list is endless, contradictions, absurdities, and cover-ups. Millions and millions of people have died and the continued carnage goes on while the so call intellectual aware does nothing, ignore, or even indirectly assist. Mr. Michael Barkun, just-published book, "A Culture of Conspiracy: Apocalyptic Visions in Contemporary America" seem very interesting because I sometimes just don't know what to say to some people. I hope he has some answers.Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
