Reader comment on item: Muslim Populations in European Cities

History is repeating itself, yet, once again, we are ignoring the warning signs!

We ignored the advance of fascism in the 1930s, and we ended up with WWII, which saw the deaths of untold millions all over the globe.

This time, it's a metastasizing cancer -- Islam -- which will not only see the deaths of further untold millions, but will result in billions becoming enslaved as openly promised in the rantings and ravings of barbarous Muslim clerics and their ilk. They are actually telling us to our faces what their intentions are, and we turn away trembling, hoping that it is all bluster and braggadocio.

The key word here is appeasement. Unless we take a firm stand and put this threat in its place, we are going to regret our inaction, which will see the end of civilization as we know it. Muslims see appeasement, kindness, assistance as weakness, as opportunities to take advantage of, make no mistake about that!

I point the finger at two individuals who are responsible for this insidious disease -- Jimmy Carter and Tony Blair, the first a buffoon, and the second an ignorant clown. Smiling Carter, an avuncular type, who is solely responsible for the present turmoil in the Middle East. We had two footholds there: secular Iran and Israel. Carter supported the return of Ayatollah Khomeini, reneging on his promise to back the Shah, resulting in the deaths of thousands (as many as 50,000) as this old man had all his political enemies -- real or imagined -- slaughtered. Now, we have only Israel, which we must protect, now more than ever. Smiling Blair, with his lofty ideals of "multiculturalism," which has seen the growth of Islam in the UK (and Europe) rising to now very dangerous levels. Obviously, he didn't dare hold a referendum on the issue, knowing it would have been soundly trashed. Even today, Blair sees Islam as "a peaceful religion," despite the most compelling evidence to the contrary. Recently, Blair converted to Catholicism. Many thought his conversion, more appropriately, would have been to Islam, given his level of intelligence.

And what do we do about these two idiots? We allow Carter to flit around the world, where he continues to do more harm than good, spreading his own distorted view of democracy by kissing the posteriors of dictators and Muslim leaders, while condemning Israel. We allow Blair, who has ruined the UK, to be named as Special Envoy to oversee peace negotiations in the Middle East. Can you believe this?

What is the matter with us? Why are we deliberately bringing such grief upon ourselves? Our masochistic traits are unbelievable, and we are obviously ignoring the chaotic end result that will surely ensue. Why can't our leaders see that they must first understand the mindset of the people with whom they deal, then act accordingly?

Blair has ruined the UK; Carter may have already harmed the US beyond repair. Carter, more than any other one person, choreographed the spawning of terrorism.

Why can't someone stand up and say: Enough is enough! If we receive racist barbs for our efforts, so what! If I am considered a racist because of my puny efforts to point the way, so be it!

Shame on the West! What we need is another Reagan to stand up to this spreading disease. We can still do this by electing people who will, for starters, stop all this uncontrolled immigration of misfits, criminals, in particular religious fanatics such as Muslims, whose agenda is incontrovertible -- their words, not mine. Many if not most do not speak our language and have no intention of integrating with local communities except to collect welfare, offering nothing in return.

Yet we masochistically allow this riffraff in at the expense of our citizens, the very people we should be protecting. Can't we learn anything from the abnormally high levels of Muslims in the West, given their unrelenting agenda? Unless we do, AND SOON, then it is patently clear that something is terribly wrong with the present collective psyche of the West!
