Reader comment on item: What's Wrong With Annapolis

Submitted by Rebecca Moulds (United States), Dec 1, 2007 at 12:55

Once again, Israel seems to be in the hands of weaklings in their government who can't discern between who the real enemy is and who are the champions of justice. Or can it be that nobody cares? Israel is losing respect daily. How can any intelligent person believe that Palestinian terrorists play the role of moral equivalence with Israelis who just want what is right for their people and state? There seems to be growing antipathy towards Israel and all things Jewish or Zionist, especially in this country.

Too much political correctness causes the line between right and wrong to be blurred, between the friend and foe to be auctioned off in a ploy to fool the world into thinking that we can all get along in peace and harmony if we just make concessions. If we made concessions during WWII to Nazi Germany and to Japan, I dread to think what such a stupid and cowardly move would have produced. I think the Knesset needs a complete overhaul. If Israel learned that fighting for its rights is the right thing to do, rather than rolling over and playing dead, there would be more respect for it, especially in the Muslim world.
