Reader comment on item: Passing as Shi'i in Iraq

Submitted by JAYDEE (United States), Aug 16, 2006 at 23:46

First they came for the Jews
and I did not speak out
because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for the Communists
and I did not speak out
because I was not a Communist.
Then they came for the trade unionists
and I did not speak out
because I was not a trade unionist.
Then they came for me
and there was no one left
to speak out for me.

Pastor Martin Niemöller

So now, the Sunnis are unhappy? They should have backed their brethren during Saddam's reign of terror.....and now it's coming back to bite them in the azz.

I don't care if they all kill each other at this point......I just wish our troops were no longer there to be targets for ANY of these animals to take their horrific cult like religious beliefs out on.

Iraq has come full circle.........
