this is so very true. its true in the case of India and SriLanka too and now also for Iraq war (I oppose the war), where the world media presents terrorists and their proponents in a very different shade than what they actually are.

I hope someone like Daniel Pipes could start a media-watch forum like campus watch. it is absolutely essential. because media distorts facts and even if it does not 'distort' it conveniently ignores certain facets of incidents big/small to project its own view.
