VICTORY, and the United States

Reader comment on item: About Those Billboards in Israel ...

Submitted by David (United States), Nov 15, 2022 at 17:12

I notice the author has not, to my knowledge, pushed back at the outrageous blood libels being circulated in parts of official Washington, suggesting that the IDF is some evil army, and that even its acceptance of responsibility in an accidental killing that occurred in the course of a precision counter-terrorism raid against individuals who butchered Jews for the crime of being Jewish, is not enough. No, the FBI needs to investigate the IDF as though the IDF is a bunch of criminals. Notwithstanding that the IDF, under Lapid and Gantz' directives, improbably TOOK responsibility for this accidental death.

All of the Jews in the Democratic party within official Washington, are apparently silent, while Chris van Hollen, D-MD, calls the FBI investigation, "overdue." The silence of the author on this subject speaks volumes. Don't direct your complaints to the Israeli public, Dr. Pipes. There is a need for someone to explain some basic realities in Washington. You write for the Washington Times. It would be most warranted to see some editorial there, pushing back against the untruths and frankly, blood libels, being circulated in the Washington Post. You've said in the past that you are of course, not an Israeli official. Yes, however you regularly advise Israel on what to do. And the fate of the Jewish people everywhere, is intimately tied to the fate of the Jewish state. If American Jews do not have the temerity to stand against smears and transparent blood libels, it is an extremely ominous portend for the future of the American Jewish community itself. If there is no response, it will get worse. Weakness, is a provocation.
