Reader comment on item: Overcoming Orientalism

Submitted by Timothy D Hadley (United States), Sep 22, 2022 at 14:32

It does my heart good to read an articulate and *accurate* smack-down of "the great deceit of post-1978 American scholarship, corrupt in its purposes, fraudulent in its ideas, and toxic in its impact." Beautifully stated. I spent almost all of my 30-year academic career dealing with that "post-1978" deceit. I'm thankful for this consummately professional validation of how corrupt, fraudulent, and toxic it was. TY for telling the truth and not holding back.

It's especially welcome to hear this from someone within the academy.
