Freedom of religion is, by many modern assertions, a particularly American institutional foundation, its isolation guaranteed to be under constant attack, even in Christianesque America. The antagonism towards Christianity is ages old, it being derivative of the Messianic beginnings as emphasized by the Savior: salvation is of the Jews. Its base objecting societal enmity is Islam; then as it is now.
We will not entertain the centuries old ramifications of how Messianic beginnings were transformed into the currently divided religious aspirations that are manifest differently around the world, that Chirstianity's current persecution is merely an outgrowth of those ages old antipathies towards the Jewish people and their later Messianic associations occuring after the advent of Yeshua, Messiah, Jesus Christ the risen Savior. It is HIs release of Spiritual freedom that is at stake here. Think not? They why does Islam persist in persecution?
Elsewhere, Dr. Pipes examines the Iranian Christian experience as a form of religious expression in a society that kills for such 'repudiation' of Islamic beliefs: is ths not the manifest model that in America, is being 'benignly' expounded upon on college campuses in an attempt to discourage religious freedom?
Is this not the Islamic call to reject the religious freedom guaranteed by the American Constitution? As reader Prashant asks, why is this not recipricated in the Iranian Islamic Regime's propaganda institutions? Why do they hate so much?
Why do they reject and hate the Christian Almighty Sovereign and the love of His Savior so much?
