Reader Prashant wondered if there were other possible contenders of varying observations that war is deceit, following that contention by Reader Warner. When this observer came across this observation, there indeed, was a initial reaction; such a reaction being mitigated by the potential of instigation. Indeed, what a lead on that was.
War is an endemic condition of humanity; mankind's base nature became a preconditioned response to the innate rebellion to authority from the very beginning. And yes, there is the religious nature of it as well, as so many secularists are loathe to encounter. Keep the supernatural out of it, they say; and yet they cannot articulate the real and practical reason why since it is in their nature as well; it's a hard thing to admit.
Yet further, and as general and specific to the topics of Dr, Pipes forum here, the world is immersed in the deceits that lead to war; the ambitions of pride of empires that have held mankind hostage to the deceptions of self-willed seekers of power and domination, of which Islam claims a superiority position over all other religious aspirations of dominance. In and of itself, since Islam makes its claim premised upon an adherence to a superior form of guidance in replacement to the Torah and the Tanakh of the Abrahamic inheritance. Therein lays the deception, the Quran claims superiority; yet its tenets do not provide the practical reasons why. Therefore, humanity is made subject to the malfeasance of human conditions of hatred for the Torah and Tanakh, in which the true Eternal Sovereign the love for humanity is declared and the sacrifice for obtaining eternity with Him is demonstrated.
Find that in the Quran: you cannot for its deceit; and a cause for war.
