I agree with both of you.

Loyalty really matters when it is tested. When the test for loyalty is keeping the peace and paying fair taxes, that is sufficient. When the test for loyalty is existential, such as in the American colonies during and immediately the Revolution, then expulsion is justified.

Should it become necessary for Israel to expel its Muslim minority, I would not be too concerned. I understand there are plenty of recently and hastily vacated formerly Jewish and Christian homes in many Arab countries for them to occupy. And they can take Al-Aqsa with them and move it stone by stone to Petra in Jordan where it has actually always belonged.
