Dr Pipes

I'm sure you are aware about the Emirates flight from Dubai to NYC with many sick passengers on board, and possible source of the illness is a Flu like illness contracted by Muslim passengers that attended the Hajj in Mecca.

Then we have sick passengers, with similar symptoms to those the Emirates flight, on flights to Philadelphia from Europe

It is about time that Muslims that travel to attend the Hajj should be quarantined and this quarantine should be in Saudi Arabia. How many days? That should be determined by the CDC

Notice that more 100 years ago Egyptians used to place in quarantine all Muslims returning to Egypt after attending the Hajj and it was in جبل الطور or Gabal al-Tur in the Sinai. It was called حجز صحي or quarantine now Arabized as كرانتينا or Karantina. Egyptians back then realized that those attending the Hajj can bring back with them potential pandemics

It would take only case of Ebola and humanity will have a health catastrophe as bad as the plague

BTW: Notice that neither the NYT nor Reuters mention the fact that some of those sick on board traveled from Mecca after attending the Hajj, and some of them might have been sick before boarding the planes.

I wonder why!
