reasons to stay away from court

Reader comment on item: Why MEF Supports Tommy Robinson
in response to reader comment: I'm astonished Britain didn't order an independent investigation to determine whether an agent of the state punched Tommy Robinson in front of the police and ran away

Anon, there are any number of reasons to stay away from court if one can. As for Tommy's case if he stays away from court it is he who will have the last word on the punch and not the court. If Tommy enjoys any sympathy within the club of judges it is this. He does not bother the legal system with petty cases to make the court the instrument of his personal fights. Judges dislike unnecessary procedures more than crime. By and large the people who punch him in the face and the rapist share the same limited time and attention within the courts. Would anyone want the rape case to be delayed by even a single day by meaningless trials?
