British Isles Have False Sense of Security

Reader comment on item: Why MEF Supports Tommy Robinson

Submitted by Dave (United States), Aug 3, 2018 at 22:44

The residents of the British Isles seem to have a very casual attitude towards the threat of Islamism. That is especially true of Scotland and Ireland, whose remoteness has largely spared them the traumas of the massive Third World immigration that undoubtedly influenced the English to vote for Brexit. Britain has been spared the consequences of an actual invasion since 1066, though the Germans almost succeeded in WWII.
Tommy Robinson seems to be an unwelcome Cassandra, trying to alert his country to a danger they appear determined to ignore, just as the police ignored the ugly reality of the Pakistani rape gangs. Denial is the island mentality here, but it's just a fool's paradise.
