Reader comment on item: Palestinian Statehood Is Acceptable ... Eventually

Submitted by yuval Brandstetter MD (Israel), May 28, 2017 at 02:09

"losing is the best thing that could happen to the Palestinians, for it liberates from a destructive obsession and allows them to begin constructing their own polity, economy, society, and culture."

If you mean the palestinians as individuals then you may be correct. That is because they do not have a polity, only tribal interests. They dont have an economy unless its attached to Israel or foreign funds designed to keep them from emigrating. They dont have a society because their only societal attribute is Islamic Jew-hatred and victim status and they besically hate each other almost as much as they hate the Jews . And they dont have a culture unless you call jihadism culture. As individuals they may benefit by terminating their non-existent relationship to the jewish homeland, and emigrating elsewhere hopefully with the truthful wish to live and let live in their destinations.
