Reader comment on item: A Return to the Academy

This tendency towards irrelevance in mainstream academia is exactly why my wife (educated at Princeton) and I (doctorate from Oxford) think Baylor University is a better choice for our son for undergraduate study than either Princeton or Stanford, both of which he also applied to. Why pay big bucks to academia for an education in irrelevance?
