Dear Dr Pipes, Your reader Sohel Bahjat claims that Iran is a democracy. And the biggest Jewish community in ME outside of Israel lives in Iran. The fact remains that as long as the word 'Islamic' occurs in the name of the country of Iran and as long as Islam considers apostasy as even a remotely punishable event, the battle is already lost. For example, as a Hindu, I will never even consider making Islamic Republic of Iran my permanent home. Why would I? Why should I? Just think! And now think about the clamor all over the world about Syrian refugees' extreme desire to make a secular America their home! And count the number of Iranians in secular America. For crying out loud, count the number of Persian Muslims in Hindu India.

By the way there are some 8000 odd Jews in Iran. In comparison 16% of Israel's 8 Million people are Muslims. That makes about 1.3 Million Muslims in Israel.

Bottom line: If the world starts treating the Muslims the way Muslims treat the world, the sky will fall.
This MUST change. It is about time that we start judging Islam, Muslims, and Islamic nations by the world standards instead of by Islamic standards.

I would like to be enlightened if I am wrong.
