McCarthyite attack against Trump over Russia.

Concerning Russia, there is a good interview with Russia expert Stephen Cohen at

The CNN interviewer looks as though he's about to bite his tongue and wet his pants at the same time; but Cohen manages to make some good points. The main thing he brought up, is that the current administration has been allowing a "New Cold War" situation to develop, from the Baltic Sea clear down to Syria. The MSM has ignored the situation, but Donald Trump -- alone, it seems, among political voices -- seems interested in defusing this situation and sitting down with Putin. For his efforts, the chorus of Clinton + MSM have hurled a McCarthy-like [1] attack against Trump, accusing him of being on the side of the "enemy".

That was a point worth making; and the same could be said of Obama's shenanigans in the Far East. This is what you get, when you have an idiot in the White House, another idiot poised to replace him, and a mainstream media that grovels before both of them.

Cohen also notes that among world leaders, only Putin seems interested in avoiding a new Cold War. As far as Western leaders are concerned, the Cold War idea is good for business -- it makes people fear an enemy and therefore cling to their incumbent leaders; and it deflects attention from severe problems at home.
