States of Pre-Mental-illness largely represented amongst general population but mostly ignored

Reader comment on item: Erdoğan's Self-Indulgence

Dear Mr Pipes

I read with interest your newsletter, and you are telling us how Erdogan is becoming a Megalomaniac-paranoiac...
You should read the now already old books of my teacher in psychoanalysis, the MD Jean Bergeret edited by Dunod in Lyon in 1972 /74 (re-printed) and further...

He defined the population statistically distributed in 20% of Normal-Neurotic (Oedipian) people whose breaking down offers only the risk of a neurosis and present an ability for guilt, light depression, and individual sense of responsibility...
50% are Borderline whose decompensation is made into addictions, deep depression, and general lack of character and decision capacity, dependence in life, somehow anaclitic persons.

30% are distributed in psychotic...(candidates for breakdowns like: Paranoid state,Paranoia, Melancholy, Hallucinating deliriums, schizophrenic forms of madness) and a part of them: Perverse..( a structure in "between" psychosis and neurosis, a rather solid unremovable Construction of mind. Incurable...
Other psychotic illnesses than Perversity aren't more curable neither but Medicines, found and developed since 1955, help for a better state of mind... against the worse !
Books to be read for Sociology and Nosography of madness are :
-Personnalité Normale et Pathologique
-La violence fondamentale
(I hope it has been translated in English!)
I would add that Politicians are found among Narcissistic Personalities and are good candidates for becoming once, paranoiac/megalomaniac.... if they weren't it already since their beginnings!!!!?????
warmest regards
