Let it collapse

Reader comment on item: Nightmare on Temple Mount

Submitted by Raoul (United States), Sep 4, 2002 at 14:39

This article claims the Palestinians might riot if there's a collapse. But the collapse would have been the fault of the Palestinian authorities who removed supports and scoffed at Israelie warnings of danger.

It seems much more certain that Israeli intervention to prevent a catastrophe would cause a riot. The Palestinians would claim it's a Jewish plot to take over the mount.

So let the rocks fall on them. They want independence. That doesn't just mean rights but also responsibilities. It will be, as usual, the Palestinians who are to blame for their misfortune.
