Facing the Islamic terror

Reader comment on item: Two Weaknesses Could Undo the Islamist Movement

Submitted by ada taiber (Israel), Jan 11, 2016 at 05:12

When an army of killer robots (organized or disorganized) is galloping steadily through the Middle East and Europe, in order to destroy the civilized world, it is not enough to eliminate some robots here and there and make heroic statements and empty threats (repeated after each attack).

The only way to deal with this problem is to destroy the roots of the manufacturing industry of these robots!!!

Edmund Burke (the brilliant British politician) said, many years ago, that all the bad guys need in order to win is that the good guys shut up and do nothing.

Since the ascent of Khomeini in 1979 (with the generous help and active participation of the West headed by Carter), Religious extremism is strengthening steadily over the entire Islamic and western world.

The Muslims all over the world are exposed to constant radical incitement and false propaganda from childhood. Thus producing millions of religious robots programmed to kill and impose their backward and brutal Sharia on the entire world.

All means are justified for this purpose, including presenting a moderate face to the secular West, distorting facts and historical data, the use of innocent children and of course utilizing the modern media in the most sophisticated way.

The time is at their disposal and they are aware of it.

Professor Uzi Rabi said wisely that the body and soul of the radical Islam is planted in the seventh century, but its arms are firmly planted in the twenty-first century!!!
They take full advantages of the telecommunications, science and psychology of our time to achieve their goals.

So until we deal with their education systems, inciters in mosques, propaganda videos, and close all their financial sources, we cannot eradicate this malignant cancer that already sent fatal metastasis to the whole world.

And as when fighting a malignant cancer we should be aware that some healthy cells are also destroyed in this process.

This war (on the future of the Western civilization) is not easy and should have been started many decades ago.

We have to change the existing laws regarding the limits of freedom of expression.

We have to tighten the supervision over educational institutions, mosques and other gathering places suspected of racism.

We must also limit the excessive freedom held in various Internet networks, which allows distribution of films inciting murder and hatred.

We must outlaw religious laws that harm women, homosexuals, "heretics" and the like.

The new laws should be accompanied by effective enforcement measures without compromise, and for that we have to train and recruit appropriate personal.

I ask myself again and again, where are the millions of so called moderate Muslims that are expected to fight with us against the radical Islam for their own good and the good of humanity and progress???

Where are the mass demonstrations of these moderates in cities around the world???

They knew to hit the streets by the millions and protest violently against cartoons in 2006!!!

But not even one mass demonstration came out, to my knowledge, against the brutal murders in recent years, the destruction of the twin towers, the beheadings, hangings, rapes, the suppression of women, the suppression and murder of homosexuals, the destruction of historical sites and many more numerous atrocities committed in the name of Islam around the world.

There are some courageous individuals who speak out, but I think that the silent Islamic majority supports the religious radicalization process and adapts itself to it.

Maybe they enjoy the "romantic" idea of the new/old Islamic Chalifat, reining over the world under the old cruel Sharia laws.

Therefore, sadly, our salvation will not come from them...

Daniel Pipes replies:

Burke put it a bit more eloquently, as one might expect: "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing."
