My prediction: Turkey will play hardball and negotiate from a position of strength

Reader comment on item: Normalizing relations with Israel up to Erdogan

Submitted by Anon. (Israel), Dec 15, 2015 at 15:56

And I fear that in Israel's eagerness for good ties with Turkey, it will adopt Turkey's frame, when actually it's Turkey who needs this deal far more than Israel.

Turkey might not hesitate to turn on Israel even after such a deal would be signed, after all buying gas from Russia didn't stop Erdogan from directing his army to shoot down the Russian plane.

I'm not at all anxious for Israel to rescue Turkey from the consequences of its rash and aggressive move against Russia.
