Reader comment on item: Did the CIA Fiddle With Population Statistics about Iran?

While you're waiting for the CIA to explain common knowledge to you, perhaps you should explain to the readers why you think one of the oldest and most authentic countries in the World (Iran) is a so-called "empire" just because it has been a multi-ethnic state for the last 3000 years. And yes, Persians constitute a much larger percentage than you originally thought, much to your dismay.

Don't the statistics answer you? Whether the Persians make up 51 percent or 61 percent, they are a bare majority over the peoples they rule and dominate.
