"Moderate" Islam is the threat.

Reader comment on item: Prominent Non-Muslims Decide What Islam Is and Is Not
in response to reader comment: SECULARISM MAKES THE WEST SUBMISSIVE TO ISLAM

As dangerous as militant Islam is, a greater danger are the "moderate" Islamists working inside the system. Organizations like CAIR work tirelessly toward the SAME ISLAMIST GOALS and are not seen as a threat, but as the "good" Islam. All but the most nominal of Muslims accept the legalistic Islamic precepts that are incompatible with western rights and liberty. Everyone agrees IS is evil but oh, those lovely Moderate Muslims! What freedoms will survive them coming to power? Already the media, educators and popular culture staunchly defend "moderate Islam" so don't tell they aren't making progress! (Imagine Christianity being defended with the same vigor. NOT!) I guess Islam will do to Liberty in the 21st century what Communism couldn't in the 20th.
