Iran is multiethnic, not an empire

Dr Pipes,

I'm not certain why you insist that Iran is an empire whose disintegration should be facilitated, rather than a multiethnic nation, not unlike United Kingdom, India, Ukraine, Spain and several African countries.

Iran is only dangerous because it is led by tyrannical Mullahs. If the Mullahs are dethroned there's no reason why the different ethnic nationalities can't successfully thrive together like other multiethnic democracies.

Having said that, I am not opposed to a unified Kurdish nation, in fact it's long overdue.
