With great respect to Prof Jenkins I still believe that an independent Kurdistan will happen despite the support or lack of support from the US and Europe

He indeed makes a good point and we should not forget that in 1915 the Kurds assisted the Turks and murdered many Armenians could such atrocity in an independent Kurdistan happen again? You never know

Yes, the Kurds had a disproportionate role in the massacre of Armenians nearly a century ago. That should neither ever be forgotten nor made a factor in today's political choices.
